Here's Nicholas Kristof's review of two books on North Korea in the NYRB. He rips Bush administration policy toward the North Koreans as having exacerbated a bad situation, but beyond a vague more engagement-less isolation strategy, he admits the regime is so remote and unpredictable that it's hard to say what exactly might work better.
